Studies in the interesting field of structure activity relationship of such compounds in recent years have brought out many revealing facts, but all such compounds of 4-Thiazolidinones are important class of pharmacophores that appear comprehensively in diverse types of pharmaceutical agents, usually implicated in biochemical processes and exhibit diversity of pharmacological activities. Some important activities include antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral and antioxidant activities etc. But all such compounds have poor solubility in polar medium and their uses may result in local tissue irritation, interference with sound healing process, hypersensitivity reactions, systemic toxicity etc. Besides this, lower solubility may reduce their bio-accessibility thereby reducing drug efficiency. The solubility and bio-accessibility of these compounds can be enhance |
