There is a dearth of studies on job satisfaction of degree college teachers of Odisha. However, no single study has been conducted on job satisfaction of degree college teachers of central Odisha in the context of leadership potential, self- concept and teacher morale. There is differential salary in case of government and nongovernment aided degree college teachers. A larger section of teachers are serving in non-government degree colleges having low paid and lacking service security causes poor self-concept, low morale, weak leadership abilities.
