This concept of the mediatization of politics has emerged as the thrust area of the investigation into contemporary media conducted the study using content analysis. Content Analysis of news channels debates and programmes tends to indicate how opinion is shaped in the context of political parties or political leaders rather than the issues of various public interest. It also shows the shift in the role of media from informing, educating and awaring people to only doing sensationalism journalism. Through this media can only set agendas as per their convenience rather than becoming the voice of voiceless people in the society, which was its primary goal. |
