To overcome these challenges, solar and wind energy sources are commonly used as renewable energy sources. In matching the power supply with the growing requirement, renewable energy sources play an essential role, and they possess the potential to improve system reliability. Microgrids are developed by connecting several distributed power generation sources, including conventional and non-conventional energy sources. By effectively scheduling energy sources, microgrids can improve techno-economic parameters while lowering harmful carbon emissions. In this research work, the load of a rural community is modelled with an islanded microgrid and a grid-connected microgrid. Five scenarios of each, Islanded and grid-connected microgrids are simulated. Parameters such as energy generation, storage and co
