Sexual harassment is an unwelcome behavior of a sexual nature and also a form of sex discrimination. It is a personal attack on someone s body and mind and a violation of right to freedom, equality and bodily integrity. In the wake of high rates of sexual harassment cases on campuses worldwide, universities have committed themselves for providing safe campuses to students by creating strict and effective sexual harassment policies that aim to create safe educational institutions. This research explores the legal historical background and a journey of feminist movements against sexual harassment in India. It includes the definition and concept of sexual harassment and its long legal history in India. It includes a discussion on the implementation and non-implementation of these legal provisions |
