The present thesis consists of a study of a class of boundary layer problems in magneto hydrodynamic viscous fluid flows. Also importance has been given to the non-Newtonian viscoelastic fluid of Walter s liquid B type. The work consists in formulating the problems mathematically, writing down the equations that describe the flow field, identifying the relevant parameters that influence the flow field variables like velocity and temperature. Making use of similarity transformations the governing partial differential equations have been converted to ordinary differential equations and the Homotopy Analysis Method(HAM) has been applied to obtain analytical solutions of the problems under study. |
