To achieve the objective of the study, a total of 150 newly diagnosed cases of hypothyroidism, and 150 age and sex matched controls were included attending the OPD (Medicine), Adesh Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, Bathinda. Statistically significant increase (P lt 0.05) of dyslipidemia, echocardiographic changes, electrocardiographic changes and diastolic hypertension was observed in hypothyroid subjects as compared to control group. Mean systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, BMI, WHR, TC, LDL, VLDL and TG was found to be increased and pulse rate, HDL was found to be decreased significantly (plt 0.05), in overt and subclinical hypothyroid patients as compared to control group. The overt hypothyroid patients, compared with subclinical hypothyroid pati
