The swellability of these gels is due to hydrophilicsites and the availability of excessive free volume that retains water molecules andincreases the swellability of the hydrogels. Low-cost renewalable polymers likecellulose, psyllium, guar gum, pectin, etc. form different hydrogels with differentmonomers with greater water retention capacity, which makes them suitable for widerapplications. One of the biggest limitations of these hydrogels that restricts their usein various commercial and industrial applications is their operation conditions, whichmake them prone to attack by microbials and chemicals. These limitations can beovercome by grafting the polymeric backbone of these natural polymers under suitableconditions using appropriate monomers.Nanogels are formed by various natural and synthetic polymers. Nanogels arecomposed of hydrogel nanoparticles of particle size less than 200nm which are f
