Bank account details, credit card details, One Time Passwords (OTP), financial data and other sensitive information are some examples of highly confidential data. As cybercrimes are on the rise every day, apart from the steps taken to provide network security, proper measures for data security are of utmost importance. Secure data encryption and data decryption techniques are essential to ensure secure data transmission. The encryption technique uses a secret key to encode the confidential data into an unreadable form and guarantees that the data is only accessible to authorized individuals. This research proposes a novel encryption process based on Deoxyribonucleic Acid (DNA) cryptography, a Hyperchaotic system and a Finite State Machine (FSM).
