Protein mass spectrometry is a high throughput technology used to analyze the protein content of the cell. The generation of tandem mass spectra through peptide fragmentation is the primary element in the mainstream protocol. The efficient combination of data acquisition protocols and analytical methods accurately interprets the resulting tandem mass spectra. Characterization and interpretation of the tandem mass spectra is a critical computational task in mass spectrometry-based proteomics. The statistical analysis of a large set of spectra in the spectrum library is the initial step in this dissertation. The main aim is to extract the features of the fragmentation pattern of Collision-Induced Dissociation (CID) spectra from the high-quality reference spectra. The study analyzes the relative frequency of occurrence of fragment ions of the peptide
