Multifunctional MOFs, due to their high degree of functionality, ease of synthesis by self-assembly as well as pre- and post-synthetic modification procedures, play a crucial role in contemporary research especially in the development of advanced functional materials. In the present study, versatile combinations of multifunctional MOFs holding luminescence, X-ray visibility, magnetic property and antibiofilm activity have been developed for diverse functional applications. In the first part of the study, a silver cluster infused silver MOF with long lived green emission in millisecond range complemented with antibacterial and biofilm inhibition property has been synthesized. Diverse functional materials such as luminescent films, thin film coatings and hydrogels were also |
