Stress is a complex subject to be confined within a definition as it depends on individuals capability, capacity and emotional tolerance to deal a situation. Stress in workplace is generally characterised with the gap between potential of the worker and demands of the job. Stress can be subjective as well as objective stress. Educational institutions also has the problem of stress for the teaching professional in India. The work-related stress occurs when there is a mismatch between the demands of the job and the resources and capabilities of the individual worker to meet those demands.
