520__|aAim of the study: To compare clinically and radiologically the effects of Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF) over Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) on alveolar bone repair following extraction of impacted third molars. To assess the Post-operative pain scale, Post-operative swelling, Soft tissue healing index and Bone tissue healing index among the Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF) group participants and Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) group participants. Methodology: The study was a clinical non-randomised prospective trial involving fifty patients visiting the department of Oral and maxilla facial surgery at Sree Balaji dental college and hospital, Chennai. The sample size was determined based on G*Power 3.1.9.2. The research protocol had obtained the Ethical clearance certificate from the Ethical committee of Sree Balaji Dental College and hospital, Chennai.
