The proposed induction motor drive employs seven switches and incorporates an active current shaping feature. The boost converter at the input can give the required voltage to inverter and can perform power factor correction. The drive works satisfactorily at low input voltage since the boost converter maintains required voltage. The experimental results are compared with the simulation results. The simulation of three level neutral clamped PWM inverter fed induction motor was also done. The conventional inverter fed induction machine has poor quality of current and voltage, due to the presence of harmonics. Using multilevel inverter harmonic content can be reduced. In symmetrical circuit, the voltage and power increases with the increase in level of the inverter. As power devices have been added in multilevel inverter structur
