520__|anewlineA power quality (PQ) problem is a phenomenon that manifests as substandard voltage, current, or outages that cause frustration for end client types of equipment. To simplify the decisions about voltage and current, hardware controller based custom power tools should be used. Distribution static compensation (DSTATCOM) and dynamic voltage restore (DVR) are the best devices to improve power quality problems. In this study, different distributed static compensators (DSTATCOMs) and DVR topologies, state of the art, their performance, design considerations, future developments and potential applications are considered for power quality improvement. A DVR supplies a voltage to the arrangement with structure voltage, and the DSTATCOM fills the current into the structure to solve power quality problems. Conveyance static compensator (DSTATCOM) is a shunt compensator that can compensate for power quality problems such as harmonics, current unbalance, and inrush current.
