Thereby, software clones are the results. Duplicate code sequences generally called as code clones. In the software development process, the existing code is already tested so sometimes the developer asked to reuse the existing code. Due to the various flavors of languages and software developer approach, the clones are introduced in the software development process. Code clones occurred in the large software systems raise some issues like increased probability of introducing a new bug, bug propagation, bad designs, difficulty in system improvement, maintenance cost, resource requirement. If the code fragment is modified, all the associated cloned fragments in the same file or different files should be consistently modified simultaneously (change coupling).Detection of code clone is really very necessary to increase the productivity and quality of |
