The components produced using this process are near net shaped and also have better mechanical properties as compared to traditional methods like casting and forging. Controlling the process variables at every stage during the process is not only critical but also very difficult. Hence the present research work focused on these aspects by making an attempt to showcase semisolid metalnewlineprocessing as a viable alternative to traditional manufacturing methods.newlineSemisolid metal processing is also known as Thixoforming where the metal is processed in the semisolid state.
