520__|aAbility to process the data while it is encrypted is an immediate solution to address several privacy and security challenges involved in applications such as protocols for secure cloud computing. In order to perform arbitrary computations over the encrypted data, the underlying encryption scheme must be Fully Homomorphic. Devising a Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE) scheme had been a longnewlinelasting cryptographic research problem for over a period of three decades. In 2009, a first ever theoretical FHE scheme was proposed in a pioneering work by Craig Gentry. Since then, all the FHE schemesnewlineproposed till date have remained theoretical and are not feasible fornewlinepractical deployment. Moreover, for many applications in practice a Somewhat Homomorphic Encryption(SHE), which supports a limited number of computations is sufficient for processing of encrypted data. However, devising even an SHE scheme with practical time complexities is a challenging problem.newline
