UML is the state of the art tool for the analysis and design of the information system but does not have well defined tools or frameworks for the implementation and hence it is passive.newlineHowever for the realization of information system and storage of objects, in most of the cases, the Database Management System (DBMS) product used is not an Object Oriented Database Management System (OODBMS) as each product has their own proprietary methods and not compatible with each other.newlineOn the other hand, Network Database Management System (NDBMS) is very strong implementation tool that has well defined procedures or frameworks for the implementation of the information system and hence most active.
