Ariel parts of Derris brevipes were successively extracted with solvents in increasing order of polarity initiallynewlinewith petroleum ether, then with chloroform methanol and water. Individual extracts of the aerial parts were subjected tonewlinepreliminary phytochemical investigation and tested for antiinflammatory activity by four different models. The models usednewlinewere Carageenen induced rat paw oedema method, Histamine induced paw edema in rats, Carrageenan induced granuloma pouchnewlinein rats and Cotton Pellet induced granuloma in rats.newline |
