520__|aPresent study deals with the phytochemical and pharmacological (Antiinflammatory and Anti-arthritic) evaluation of the plants L. aspera, L. nodiflora, newlineM. alba and N. indicum. The species selected were reported to have Antiinflammatory and Anti-arthritic potential in traditional medicine. However, thenewlineactivities were either not validated or the extracts used were not characterizednewlinethoroughly. Hence the present study is taken up. Phytochemical studiesnewlinecarried out include Micro chemical (elemental Analysis), Extraction of plantnewlinematerial, Preliminary Phytochemical studies, HPTLC Fingerprinting, GC-MSnewlineAnalysis, UPLC-HRMS analysis and isolation of compounds. Three differentnewlinemethods (Xylene induced ear edema, Formaldehyde induced ear edema andnewlinearthritis, CFA induced paw edema and arthritis) were employed for evaluatingnewlinethe anti-inflammatory and Anti-arthritic potential of the selected plants.
