This Research study deals with the Environmental impact assessment for developmental project i.e.Ramapada Sagar (Polavaram) Irrigation newlineproject, which has been carried out in parts of West Godavari, East Godavari and Khammam districts of Andhra Pradesh. About 14,400 newlineSq Kilometer area of remote sensing data have been collected and analyzed for environmental impact assessment by using emerging GIS newlinetechnology. The prime objective is to study the environmental impact of the project on land use land cover environment, water environment, inundation/submergence area and formulate suitable environmental newlinemanagement plan.
