In this thesis, reversible data hiding is discussed in the contextnewlineof grayscale image as cover media. Several types of reversible datanewlinehiding techniques exist in literature. Prediction error expansion basednewlinereversible data hiding techniques exhibit superiority in performancenewlineover other types of reversible data hiding techniques. In a predictionnewlineerror expansion based technique, a pixel value is predicted using anewlinepixel prediction strategy. Then, data bit is added in the expandednewlineprediction error of a pixel. A good pixel prediction strategy is keynewlineto this technique. A small prediction error leads to less embeddingnewlinedistortion.newlineIn this thesis, several novel reversible data hiding techniques are proposednewlineby exploiting several strategies for pixel value prediction.
