520__|aThe concept of academic achievement is being applied and measured in the context of imparting of school or higher education. Academic achievement is an indicator to assess thenewlinestandards of a students and future prospectus. Keeping in view the basic essence of academic achievement, it is tested, while taking three variables such as socio-economic profile of students,newlinecompetencies of teachers and academic achievements of KGBVs in AP. In the process of empirical study, it is found that the adolescent girl children who are studying in KGBVs are,newlineessentially, from never enrolled, dropouts and out of school children. Their parental background is from the lower caste, lower class, rural, illiterate, women headed family, risk, risk ridden and orphan background. The teachers in KGBVs are highly qualified in terms of educationalnewlinebackground and teaching experience. Their capacities have been enhanced through the training programs.
