GujCat:

GujCat: Online Union Catalogue of Gujarat is unified Online Library Catalogues of books available in major Colleges/Institutes/Universities libraries in Gujarat. GujCat database contains bibliographic description, location and holdings information for books in all subject areas available. A Web-based interface is designed to provide easy access to the merged catalogues. The GujCat is a major source of bibliographic information that can be used for inter-library loan, collections development as well as for copy cataloguing and retro-conversion of bibliographic records. The GujCat consists three components available in open access to users and librarians.

How you can Participate

We would appreciate, if you could kindly send complete bibliographic records of books in ISO 2709 format in a CD. Please make sure to export the data in ISO format. This will help us to strengthen our database activities and initiate resource sharing at various levels. May I request you to expedite the process in your institute and ensure that the data is sent to the INFLIBNET Centre for the GujCat.

Note to Librarian

You are requested to contribute your updated library records to the INFLIBNET Centre at regular frequency. Your updated records we will be duly authenticate, uploaded and merged in the union database and will be available for searching through GujCat.
